The Tyrone Poole 38 Foundation, led by NFL Super Bowl Champion, author, motivational speaker and inventor Tyrone Poole, will provide Thanksgiving meal donations at Mike Daniel Recreation Center on Tuesday.

The provisions to make full Thanksgiving meals, consisting of turkey, green beans, corn, stuffing and pies, will be distributed to the first 50 families who arrive at the recreation center between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

“As they say, charity begins at home; and, regardless of where my career takes me, LaGrange will always be my home,” Poole said. “That is why it brings me great joy to ensure that dozens of families in my home town, who might not otherwise enjoy a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal, will have the opportunity to do so this year.”

According to spokespersons for the Tyrone Poole 38 Foundation, the entire community came together to support this effort. Through generous donations from Poole, the Mike Danial Recreation Center and Publix, as well as volunteer support from several volunteers, and musical entertainment provided by Ja’Juan Graham, this event is a fitting kick-off to the holiday season for 50 LaGrange families and all those whose lives they touch.

“I cannot wait to see the looks on the faces of family members when they take home all the provisions for their Thanksgiving Day meal,” says Poole.

“I was always taught to believe that ‘to whom much is given, much is required.’ So, in addition to giving back through my life skills seminars, as well as the various education, fitness and humanitarian nonprofit programs of my Foundation, I am honored to be able to help provide the simple blessing of a home-cooked meal for the holidays.”
