Mrs. Phyllis E. Wright, 66, of LaGrange, Georigia passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Wright was born Nov. 14, 1951 in LaGrange, G to the late Walter and Mildred Wright. She was known for her incredible cooking, previously working at Hoofer’s Restaurant for a number of years and currently with Good Ol’ Country Buffet. She loved her family, however her life revolved around raising her great grandson, Landon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Stillwell; sister, Louise Shelnutt; and nephews, Danny and Randy Shelnutt.

Survivors include her son, Rodney Moore; sister, Beatrice Torrance and her husband, Rick Torrance; grandchildren, Rusty Gray and Scott Gray; great grandchildren, Landon Gray, Kayleigh Gray and Kayden Gray; nephews, Bobby Shelnutt Jr, Timmy Shelnutt, Travis Robinson, Anthony Robinson, and Richie Torrance; nieces, Angie Fenn, Donna Cox, Rhonda Robinson and Ashley Torrance; a host of other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Josh Rhye officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens.
