A home invasion occurred and two people were held at gunpoint at a house on the 600 block of Murphy Avenue Sunday at 11:15 a.m. According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, an unknown man entered the residence with a gun and demanded money from the two residents.

The residents told police that the man forced them to a back bedroom where he tied up one of the residents and took their money and cell phones. According to the LPD police report, once the man left, both residents went to a neighbor’s house to call 911.

The suspect is described as African American and 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-6 tall. He appeared to be in his 40s and weighed 250 pounds.
