In our continued effort to bring the best community coverage and content possible to our readers, The LaGrange Daily News will release a basketball preview magazine tomorrow in our Tuesday, Nov. 28 edition.

The magazine, entitled Tip-Off Magazine, will resemble our well-received Pigskin Preview magazine that was published in August.

The Tip-Off Magazine will preview and highlight both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams from LaGrange, Callaway, Troup County, Lafayette Christian and LaGrange Academy as well as the men’s and women’s teams from LaGrange College. It will include position-by-position breakdowns of each team along with rosters and photos, all provided by our top-notch sports editor, Kevin Eckleberry.

Basketball has been one of the most popular sports in the county over the years, and our local teams consistently put competitive, productive teams on the hardwood, year in and year out.

There is great high school and college basketball in Troup County.

There are passionate fans, and intense rivalries on display week in and week out in the winter.

These reasons, along with our passion for delivery new and exciting content, are what compelled us at the LDN to create this product.

The basketball season is already underway, and this magazine is meant to compliment the first portion of the season, as teams are beginning to form their respective identities and come into their own.

One of the best times of the year deserves one of the best magazines of the year, and we have full confidence this will be one to look forward to and remember.
