Mrs. Emma Milam Jessup, age 95, of LaGrange, passed away on Nov. 26, 2017, at the Florence Hand Home.

Mrs. Jessup was born on Oct. 14, 1922, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Charles Hunter Milam and Emma McCoullouh Milam.  She retired after 21 years of service from West Georgia Medical Center and was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Junior Jessup; son, Clarence J. Jessup; brothers and their spouses, Hunter Milam and Gladys and Wade Milam and Dot; son in law, Jimmy Humphrey. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Humphrey, Beverly Walton and her husband Danny and Emma Allen and her husband David; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; daughter in law, Cheryl Jessup; extended family.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at noon at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Jan Stewart-Tolbert officiating.  Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday on hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
