Mrs. Marianne Jones Helms, age 79, of West Point, passed away on Dec. 5, 2017, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Helms was born on Aug. 7, 1938, in LaGrange to the late William Pierce Jones and Betty Stitt Jones.  She was the owner of LaSnippe Salon for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Brent Young.  Survivors include her sons, Bruce Gary and his wife Laura of New York and Dr. Joseph Barney of Birmingham, Alabama; daughters, Connie Boone and her husband Jack of Five Points, Alabama and Laura Young and her husband Dale of West Point; grandchildren, Jeremy Boone, Brandon Boone, Leslie Wright (Timothy), Paul Barney and Sophie Barney; great grandchildren, Abigail Young, Lily Brymer, Avery Hale, Brenlee Wright and Michaela Wright; extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel. Interment to follow at the Meadoway Gardens.  Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
