Howard Bradley Lipham Jr.

Mr. Howard Bradley “Brad” Lipham, Jr., 71, of Franklin, GA, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at West Georgia Medical Center.

Brad was born Nov. 2, 1946, in LaGrange, Georgia, son of the late Howard Bradley Lipham, Sr. and Cleo “Bob” Dukes Lipham.  He was a Cadet of North Georgia College and a graduate of the Pharmacy School at the University of Georgia.  Brad was a co-owner and pharmacist of Corley Drugs, Bowdon Pharmacy, and LaGrange Wellness Center before retiring.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite, Elm City Masonic Lodge, and a Shriner.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Keith Lipham and Steven Lipham, and a brother, James B. Lipham.

Survivors include his son, H.B. “Rocky” Lipham, III and his wife Marnie; step daughters, Wendy Weisman and Mendy (Michael) Cason; grandchildren, Tyler Lipham, Connor Lipham, Chandler Lipham Dangle, McKena Lipham, Will Lipham, Sam Lipham, Kasen Weisman, Kole Weisman, Chael Cason, and Caleb Cason; sister-in-law, Florence Lipham; niece, Melissa Lipham Malloy; and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Vernon Thornton officiating and contributions by Dr. Bob Copeland, Tommy Whitworth, and Melissa L. Malloy.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Beam, Scott Burton, Furlon Carter, David Cochran, Ronnie Griffin, Alex Pippin, Chris Salter and David Yates.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Beckham, John Corley, Bill Couch, Mike King, Tom Lanier, Roy McClendon, John Sands, Walt Stewart, Bobby Traylor, Fred Turner, Judson Turner, Tommy Whitworth and Richard Williams.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Shriners Children Hospital or Heritage Community Foundation in memory of Howard Bradley “Brad” Lipham, Jr.
