Mr. James Richard Pigg, age 73, of LaGrange, passed away on Dec. 20, 2017, at the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Pigg was born on Jan. 9, 1944, in New York, New York, to the late Herman Eugene Pigg and Connie Slay Pigg. He served in the United States Marine Corps and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He worked for Eastern Airlines, retired from the Troup County School System and was a ordained minister and music evangelist.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Holliday Pigg; stepsons, Dennis Massey (Donna) and Gilbert Massey and family; brothers, Michael and Barbara, Gary, Kenny and Ronny and Gwen; sister, Karen Pigg; eight nephews and five nieces; extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Jeter and the Rev. Steve Van officiating.
