Vehicle extensively vandalized

A vehicle was vandalized with scratches and slashed tires at the 1100 block of Murphy Avenue between Monday at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. According to the police report, the entire vehicle had scratches around the vehicle and on the hood, both right side tires were slashed and a left tail light was broken out.

The owner said she does not know who would have damaged the vehicle and estimated the damages to be $2,000.

Items taken from vehicle

A vehicle was entered and $110 worth of items were taken from it at the 100 block of Reeves Street Tuesday between 2 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the police report.

The car owner told police a neighbor noticed the trunk lid open around 9 a.m. and didn’t think anything about it. Items missing include a DHL jacket valued at $20, a Glovis jacket valued at $20, a toolbox full of tools valued at $50 and a car jack valued at $20.

The car owner told police he leaves his vehicle unlocked.
