Arthur James Johnson passed away Saturday.

He was born Aug. 29, 1942, to the late, J. C. and Minnie Lee Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Coetha Sanders.

Survivors include his daughters, Brenda (Charlie) Buggs, Charlotte (Victor) Crowder, Jornita (Sidney) Echols, Teresa (Rudy) Laye, Rosa (Rodale) Herrington, Minnie Fortson, Angela Glass; sons, Arthur (Terquilla) Sanders and Curtis Glass; 25 grandchildren; sisters, Catherine McGruder and Carrie Moss; brothers, James (Mary) Johnson, Albert Johnson, Dave Talley and David Talley; thirteen sisters and brothers in-law; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at New Rock Springs Baptist Church.
