The Troup Tigers, along with seven other boys’ teams, will compete in the Carrollton Holiday Tournament today through Saturday.

The three-day tournament will be held at Carrollton High.

Troup kicks things off against M.L. King today at 4:30 p.m., and the winner will advance to play either Carrollton or Douglass on Friday at 7:30p.m.

If Troup loses today, it would play again at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

If Troup wins its first two games, it would play for the championship on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The participating teams are Troup, M.L. King, Carrollton, Douglass, Heard County, Greenville, Riverdale and Druid Hills.

There will also be a girls’ tournament with eight teams participating.

Since opening the season with two losses, the Tigers have won four of their past five games, and they’re on a three-game winning streak.

Troup made it three in a row with a 65-56 win over Callaway on Friday.

After this tournament, Troup is off until Jan. 2 when it begins Region 5-AAAA play with a home game against Chapel Hill.
