Closures for holidays, extra trash bins available

The City of LaGrange will be closed for business Dec. 25 and 26 for the Christmas holiday.

Garbage and recycling pick up will be pushed back by one day.

The City of LaGrange Sanitation Department will work in the morning Tuesday, Dec. 26, but they hope to be done with their routes by noon so they can get back home to their families.

Residents are asked to leave garbage/recycling bins out early so employees can get home to their families Tuesday afternoon. The City of LaGrange will also be closed Monday, Jan. 1. All garbage/recycling pick up will be pushed back/delayed by one day.

Extra garbage bins are being placed to help with the overflow of trash. They will be available from Dec. 22-Dec. 30 at the following locations: DFACS Building on Hogansville Road,  Hollis Hand School, Granger Park Track, Brenda Boulevard at Kings Park Lane, Colquitt Street near MLK Drive, Daniel Street at Dix Street, Wilkes Street at Unity School, Jackson Street at Lincoln Street and Washington Street at 4th Avenue.
