June Ellen Thrailkill, 71, of Pine Mountain, Georgia died Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, at her home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Thrailkill was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Hamilton, Georgia the daughter of Ernest and Thelma Ruth Williams Roberts. She was a retired registered nurse with West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and loved being a homemaker, arts and crafts especially painting. She loved watching her soaps and tending to her animals. Mrs. Thrailkill loved all of her family and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Buford Stanley Thrailkill, Sr., children Buford Stanley Thrailkill, Jr. and his wife Lynn; Patricia Ann Buchanan and her husband Andy; grandchildren Shelby Godfrey, Mallory Godfrey, Grant Thrailkill, Tyler Wilkerson and Anna Buchanan all of Pine Mountain; sister Sally Cavedo and her husband Ralph of Flowery Branch, Georgia and many other extended family members.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thrailkill will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Salem United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Pastor Lynn Peters officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Jamie Thrailkill, Mike Pheil, Butch McGuire, Wayne McGuire, Doug McGuire and Mark Turner. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
