Mrs. Marie Brown Huguley, age 100, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Huguley, a native of Lafayette, Alabama was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Satterwhite Brown and the wife of the late Booker T. Huguley. After relocating to LaGrange, she joined the First Baptist Church on Fannin Street where she faithfully served on the choir, the missionary society and the Golden Age Club.

Survivors include two children that she raised, Bernice (Tom) Cofield and Luellen Henderson; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Brown and Charles (Katherine) Brown and two sisters, Mattie Cammeron and Minnie Howell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Brown Huguley will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Fannin Street. The Rev. Dr. Clarence Sams will officiate with burial at RestLawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of her niece, Bernice Cofield at 2592 Hamilton Road and on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at West Georgia Mortuary.
