Deborah Jean Cosley

Mrs. Deborah Jean Cosley, 63, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Cosley was born Dec. 1, 1954, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Billy Joe and Marie Stitcher Cosley. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a graduate of the nursing program at Troup Tech and had been employed in the pediatrics department of West Georgia Medical Center and at Beaulieu Convalescent Center in Newnan. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Billy Joe LaBrone Harrington and his wife Tina Marie; step-children, Brian Shirey and Angie Shirey White; former daughter in-law, Elizabeth Anne Wolfe; 12 grandchildren; sisters Patricia Cosley Stillwell and Darlene Cosley Perkins; and a brother, Teddy Lamar Cosley.  Mrs. Cosley was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Virginia Marie Jones; son, Eric Donnell Harrington; father, Billy Joe Cosley; mother, Marie Stitcher Cosley; and former husbands, Lavelle Harrington and Tony Shirey.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.  The Rev. Donald Boyd will officiate and interment will be in the Stitcher Family Cemetery.

The family will be at her son’s home, 82 Mt. Zion Church Rd. in LaGrange, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday evening.
