Charles Walker of Detroit, Michigan, formerly of LaGrange, passed away Thursday.

Local survivors include his sister, Mildred Rutledge and brothers, Gene Walker, Jimmy McCord, Standford McCord, Mark McCord and Alford McCord.

The service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at Ecc’lesia Christian Ministries, 5410 Milford, Detroit.

Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Swanson Funeral Home, 14751 McNichols Road at Lauder, Detroit, Michigan 48235.

A memorial service will follow here in LaGrange at Thankful Baptist Church where Adrian Smith is pastor.
