Ann Evelyn Allen Smith, of LaGrange, passed away on Jan. 15, 2018, at the LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Oct. 25, 1933, in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late Annie Mae Rice Allen. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Kennon Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Peter Smith (Lisa) of Hoover, Alabama, Jerry Smith of LaGrange; daughter, Jenny Williams (Bill) of LaGrange; sister, Vaunita Ashmore (Vauban) of Union, South Carolina; grandchildren, Clay Williams (Sarah), Ryan Smith (Cassidy), Chris Myers (Alexis), Matthew Williams (Casey), Allison Deckard (Oscar), Ann Smith, Ann Myers, Brandon Wright; great grandchildren, Wes, Olivia, Eden, Haddon, John, Carter; extended family and friends. Family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Poplar Creek and LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation.

The family will have a time of visitation from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at the Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church. Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
