Martha Ann Amey

Mrs. Martha Ann Amey passed away Thursday.

She was born Nov. 23, 1957, to Eva Mae Smith and the late, Jessie Lee Hart in LaGrange, Georgia.

She united with Wehadkee Baptist Church. She was previously employed by Milliken and Company, but the majority of her career was serving as a certified nursing assistant where she made a lasting impression on all she encountered.

Survivors include her husband, Wilson Amey, Jr; five children, Antona (Jamie) Boykin, Jessie (Jenique) Boykin, Carlos (Ashlee) Boykin, Chandra (Marc Bolden) Heard, Latonia (Gregory) Smith; 13 grandchildren; eight siblings,  Memorial P. Pritchett, Annette (Rodney) Fannin, Render Potts, Melissa (Mitchell) Fannin, Carol (Michael) Ford, Linda Hart, Pat (Falisha) Hart, and Kenneth (Almega) Parmer; uncle, John (Jean) Potts; two aunts, Kathy Potts and Annie Potts; special aunt, Nellie Potts; lifelong friend, Janet Blackmon; and a host of sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Community Church.
