Last week the LaGrange Fire Department promoted six officers to new positions during a special ceremony.

Michette Moon and Matt Oubre were promoted to sergeant, Bill Brazeal, Josh Williams and Garrett Brubaker were promoted to lieutenant and Chad Dallas was appointed as the new deputy chief.

Dallas had already been running a shift after Robert Taylor retired in December. The fire department is also expected to soon announce who the new public information officer. Whoever that person is will replace Chris Taylor, who also retired last month.

“I know it’s a great accomplishment for them to obtain more responsibility and look to help the future of the department,” said fire deputy chief Willie Bradfield.

We want to congratulate all six firefighters on their new roles in the fire department. We’re sure they will excel in their new roles and strengthen the local department.
