It was bombs away for Lafayette Christian School’s Ross Clifton.

Clifton, a senior, scored 29 points to help his team overwhelm Ballard Christian 77-25 on Thursday night.

“We didn’t necessarily run a lot of offense,” Lafayette Christian head coach Jarred Pike said. “When you’re quicker and more athletic, you just run it and push. We finished our shots. We had a lot of unselfish play.”

Clifton, in his final game on his home court, made six 3-pointers.

Cameron Geisler made three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points, and Matt Brooks and Sam Shepherd added six points apiece.

Lafayette Christian will close the regular season at Holy Ground today, and it will be the number three seed for the region tournament.

Lafayette Christian will play Central-Christian in the opening round of the region tournament.

“Everybody’s talking like they’re ready,” Pike said. “In the first half of the season, they were kind of scared to be aggressive. Now, I think we’re ready to go.”
