Callaway Gardens fun with family

Yesterday it was 69 degrees, and we wanted to get out of the house so we went to Callaway  Gardens. The Butterfly Center was beautiful and awesome as always.

Then — since we had a 6- year-old boy with us — we went to see the Birds of Prey. Seeing the birds of prey was great! A Red Tail Hawk flew within inches of our head several times. They had a different hawk from the desert that also put on a good show. Last, but very beautiful, was an owl. The lady doing the  show did a great job telling about each bird.

On the way back, we stopped and watched the kids  ice skate which was special. Most of the small kids were making it great, but one teenage boy was trying to go really fast. He fell on each round. I guess some things never change.

Trash on our roadways

Is it me or am I noticing more trash than ever before on our roadways?

I know the judges, police and sheriff’s department do not want to hear this, but I think a few tickets with $100 fines to start with would help!

I worked on the first Trash Bash we ever had. The answer is not getting 600 people out there picking up trash, but to stop people from throwing trash out.

I am pledging if I see someone  throwing trash out I will call 911 and give them the tag number.

I am asking all the people that love our city to do their part in calling 911.

Is that a deal? Then shake on it and let’s do it.
