Mrs. Pauline McLaughlin, age 70, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. McLaughlin, a native of Lagrange, Georgia was born Feb. 12, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Frankie Asberry. She attended Ethel W. Kight High School, and she held employment at Duracell Battery Company.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Herndon; children, Simuel (Sheila) McLaughlin, Sharon (Jimmy) Smith, Meon (Mike) Walker, Victor (Tantalay) Asberry and Octavia (Colonda) Cox; two brothers, Alton Williams and Cecil Williams; a sister, Mrs. Veola (Quinton) Buggs; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie G. Cotton, Joe Cotton and Warner Asberry and a sister, Shirley Smith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline McLaughlin will be held on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Confidence Missionary Baptist Church.  The Rev. Michael Jackson will officiate with burial at Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at 903 Buchanan Street.
