Another new record for Behind the Mask

More than $100,000 was raised for Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services during the Behind the Mask fundraiser over the last few months.

The 12 candidates for King and Queen of the Mask raised more than $75,000 this year and the actual ball raised $34,300. In the sixth year of the fundraiser, more than $500,000 has now been raised for Twin Cedars.

The Bradfield Center, the Troup County Prevention Coalition, the Child Advocacy Center and  Darkness to Light are some of the programs that will benefit from the money raised.

The most important part is that every single dollar will go toward helping local children and families grow and achieve their full potential. We applaud everyone who spent their free time over the last few weeks raising money for Twin Cedars, including King Tyler McCoy and Queen Lucretia Silcox. Just those two alone raised around $35,000.

The money raised this year is the most ever raised by Twin Cedars and each year it seems like a new mark hit.

Hopefully next year, we’ll be writing about a brand new fundraising record.
