Hattie Pearl Brand Reeves, 86, of Carrollton, passed away Jan. 29, 2018 in LaGrange, Georgia.

Ms. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Tera Yearta; brother, William “Butch” Yearta; sisters, Roberta Walker, Mattie Mae Gerholdt; her first husband, Harvery G. Brand of Franklin; daughters, Udora Brand, Glennis M. Brand; second husband, Billy Joe Reeves of Carrollton.  Mrs. Pearl is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Malone and Marisa Brand of LaGrange; daughter, Ghami Brand and Pete Bryan of LaGrange; daughter and son-in-law, Mignon and Joe Buban of Plano, Texas; daughter, Glenda Brand and Glen Hood of Wells, Maine; grandchildren, Cassandra and Jeremy Striblin, Jessie Duncan, Elizabeth Duncan; step-grandchildren, Patrick, Katherine and Rebecca Gilliand, Heather Escabedo; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison and Caleb Striblin.

She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed visiting family and friends, gardening and crossword puzzles.  She was active for many years in the Girl Scouts of America as a Troup Leader in Franklin, Georgia and a volunteer for the Pine Valley Girl Scout Council. For a number of years, she baked and decorated cakes, including wedding cakes, anniversary cakes and birthday cakes.

Ms. Pearl was a member of McIntosh Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Carrollton, Georgia.

A private service for immediate family will be held at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan, Georgia followed by a private graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care during her time there and their support in her final days.
