Stanley B. Seegar

Mr. Stanley B. Seegar, 72, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2017 at Emory University Hospital Midtown.

Mr. Seegar was born Dec. 24, 1945 in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Marion Brittian Seegar and Mary Smith Seegar.  He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran who served his country faithfully. He spent his career as an electronics technician, and 27 of those years were with Milliken & Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo Seegar, Lloyd Seegar, Joe Seegar and Van Allan Seegar; sisters, Mona Kelley and Noreen Seegar.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Seegar; son, William B. (Sandra) Seegar; sister, Ann Helms and several nieces and nephews including.

A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Following the service, a private burial will be held at Watoola Methodist Cemetery in Opelika, Alabama. The gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
