Vance Thomaston passed away Wednesday.

He was born Feb. 10, 1944, in Heard County, Georgia to the late, Chester and Bertha Thomaston.

He united with Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was employed by Hollingsworth Trucking Company.

Survivors include his wife, Corine D. Thomaston; sons, Demetrius (Samantha) Thomaston, Bentley (Deborah) Thomaston and Victor (Judi) Thomaston; three brothers, Thurman Thomaston, Royace (Jessie Mae) Thomaston, Arlis Thomaston; two sisters, Juanita (Henry) Ogletree and Zara Nell Tyler; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
