Vivian Smith Miller

Vivian Smith Miller, age 96, of LaGrange, passed away on Feb. 13, 2018, at the Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1921, to the late, Thomas Jefferson Smith and Lessie Lee Smith in Camp Hill, Alabama. She retired from General Electric and was an active volunteer at Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain Tourism and Troup County Active Life Center. She was also a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Miller; son, Lee Miller; sister, Gladys Webb; brothers, Percy and Frank Smith, Maple Smith (Catherine), George Smith (Katie), Joe D. Smith (Ellen), Tommy Dykes Smith (Vye), Johnny Smith.

Survivors include her brother, Paul Leroy (Mary Louise); sisters, Mae Owen, Mary Lou Webster; sister in laws, Jessie and Clara Smith; loving nieces and nephews and her little bit. The family will have visitation from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Katie Mattox officiating. The family will fellowship after the service in the Community Building at the Salem United Methodist Church.
