$500 worth of shoes taken in house burglary

Five hundred dollars worth of shoes were taken from a house at the at the 100 block of Laurel Ridge Avenue Thursday between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The resident told police when she returned home she noticed her mattress was moved, her dresser drawers and closet  door were opened. According to the police report, a bedroom window pane was broken. Items missing were a pair of 2011 Air Jordan Space Jam valued at $300 and a pair of 2012 Air Jordan Retro 12 French Blues valued at $200.

Attempted theft at Great Wolf Lodge

A man was caught by two Great Wolf Lodge employees attempting to steal air conditioner/heating units from the hotel Wednesday around 7:20 p.m.

According to the police report, the men entered a room and found a man there who said he was looking for his drill before leaving.

The men then found three air conditioner/heating units stacked on a cart with a blanket, even though those had been installed on a previous date, according to the police report. The units are estimated at $2,000 each.
