Man charged with battery, kidnapping by LPD

Donquavious Henderson, 22, was arrested and charged with battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment under the Family Violence Act after allegedly forcing another person into a residence at the 500 block of South Lee Street Tuesday before 1 p.m.

LaGrange police arrived at the scene in reference to a fight when they were told the victim was forced into the residence, according to a LPD press release.

Officers surrounded the residence and began verbal appeals to get Henderson to come out of the residence, according to the press release.

Henderson and the victim came out of the residence and he was arrested.

According to Troup County Jail arrest/release reports, he was also charged with returned by bondsman and his bond was set at $5,000.

Man arrested for pointing gun at another person

D’Metrius Lemon, 22, was arrested for allegedly pointing a Taurus PT111 G2 9mm handgun at his girlfriend’s mother.

The girlfriend’s mother told police that she and Lemon were arguing inside the residence and continued on in the front yard.

Lemon pulled the gun from his waistband and told her he would have shot her if she wasn’t his girlfriend’s mother, according to the police report.

After talking to witnesses who said Lemon brandished the gun and pointed it at the girlfriend’s mother, Lemon was arrested. According to Troup County Jail arrest/release reports, he was charged with pointing a gun at another and his bond was set at $1,000.
