Grangers shine at Jekyll

JEKYLL ISLAND – LaGrange High’s tennis teams made their annual trek to Jekyll Island over the weekend, and they enjoyed successful stays in a two-day tournament.

The Grangers finished third in the Jekyll Jam, while the Lady Grangers placed fourth.

LaGrange posted a 2-1 record that included a victory over long-time rival Columbus.

LaGrange’s girls team went 1-2, with its win coming against Riverdale.

LaGrange’s tennis teams will be back in action this week for the Granger Invitational.

The tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday at tennis facilities across the area.
