Callaway’s home game with Upson-Lee scheduled for Tuesday was washed out, and they’ll try again today.

It’ll be the second time the two teams have played this season.

On Feb. 24, Callaway went to Upson-Lee and lost 8-3.

Today’s game, weather-permitting, will be played at Callaway, with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m.

Callaway is looking to bounce back from a tough game on Friday when it lost to Pike County 10-0 in five innings.

The Cavaliers are 6-4 overall, and they have two games remaining before they begin their Region 5-AA schedule next week against the Temple Tigers.

Callaway won the region championship last season.

Callaway finishes the week with a home game against Handley (Ala.) on Friday.

Also this week, the LaGrange and Troup baseball teams will continue their non-region schedules.

LaGrange, coming off a winless performance in the LaGrange Toyota Invitational, will play three road games this week.

LaGrange plays Smiths Station today, Carrollton on Friday, and McIntosh on Saturday.

LaGrange (2-9) gets its Region 5-AAAA schedule started on Tuesday at home against Cedartown.

Troup, which improved to 7-1 with Monday’s 5-3 win over the Northside Patriots, will visit Loganville on Thursday at 8:30 p.m., and the game will be played at the LakePoint complex in Emerson.

Troup will begin defense of its Region 5-AAAA championship on Tuesday at home against Chapel Hill.

LaGrange Academy, which has started the season with two losses, will look for win number one on Friday when it hosts Springwood.

Lafayette Christian School plays at Callaway on Thursday and at Central-Carroll on Thursday.
