Troup High’s girls’ golf team beat Valley 146-194 in a nine-hole match on Tuesday.

Abby Taylor, who recently announced her intention to play golf at Point University, led Troup with a 46.

Kyla Bedingfield added a 47, and Sydney Lindsey shot a 53.

Troup’s boys’ team, which lost to Valley 188-194, was led by J.D. Pleasants, who shot an even-par 35.

Troup’s teams will be back in action on Thursday against Harris County at Callaway Gardens.

TENNIS: LaGrange’s teams continued their Region 5-AAAA schedules with one-sided wins over Central-Carroll on Tuesday.

LaGrange’s boys’ and girls’ teams both swept to 5-0 victories.
