Pure Life Studios will be filled with the sounds of strings as Harpeth Rising makes a reprise to the venue Sunday evening. The three-part harmony trio composed of Maria Di Meglio, Michelle Younger and Jordana Greenberg last performed at the studio in late 2015 or early 2016, according to owner Maggie McDonald.

“They’re just wonderful, their harmonies are impeccable. Their musicianship is quality,” McDonald said. “I’m super excited to have them back because I didn’t think they’d ever come back.”

The group plays a fusion of folk, newgrass, rock and classical music. McDonald said Harpeth Rising was a great choice for the venue because they are quality song writers.

“They’re energetic, contagious and beautiful,” McDonald said.

The show is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at purelifelagrange.com or at the door. Tickets sold at the door are cash only.

If you’d rather listen to pure choral music, the West Georgia Choral Arts Festival will be held at Callaway Auditorium at LaGrange College Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Choral groups, including Point University, LaGrange College, Lafayette Christian School and the Choral Society of West Georgia, will perform.

The concert is free to the public.

If you’d rather watch dancing, the Lafayette Ballet Company will perform “The Wizard of Oz” this weekend. The production is meant for all ages.

The performances will be held at the Troup High School Fine Arts Auditorium. Performances are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
