Mrs. Loyce (Esther) Whitley Cline, 94, of Branchville South Carolina, and a former resident of LaGrange passed away at her son’s home Friday morning.

Mrs. Cline was born March 23, 1923, in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Thomas Matthew and Etta Jane Brown Whitley. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Ora (Obie) Whitley Geter, Mae Duke and Lola Williams; and brothers, Walter Whitley, Oliver Whitley, Mig Whitley and Chester Whitley.

Esther retired as a manager/supervisor of Southern Bell/AT&T.

Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Avery and Angela Cline of Branchville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Lindsey Cline Starley (Chad) of Kathleen, Georgia; Chris Cline (Lisa) of Warner Robins, Georgia; Emily Carver (Sam) of  Aiken, South Carolina; Caroline Garcia (Corey) of Aiken, South Carolina; Anna Cait Cline of Branchville, South Carolina; great grandchildren, Hudson Starley, Lexie Starley, Jaxson Cline and Sawyer Garcia; sister-in- law,  Mrs. Betty Whitley of Roswell, Georgia; numerous beloved nieces and nephews

Funeral services for Mrs. Loyce (Esther) Whitley Cline will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hornsby officiating. The family will receive friend at the funeral home (Sunday) afternoon from 1 p.m. until the service hour of 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
