Mr. Emory Eugene “Gene” McClendon, age 73, of LaGrange, passed away on March 18, 2018, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mr. McClendon was born on Oct. 10, 1944, in LaGrange to the late Buster McClendon and Thelma Yarbrough McClendon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Wayne McClendon and sisters Betty King and Peggy Sutton. Survivors include his son, Chris McClendon and his wife Renee; daughter, Dana Lawrance and her husband Randy; grandchildren, Heath McClendon (Jessica), Kimberly McClendon (Fiancé Justin Pitts) and Kristen Lawrance (Greg); great grandchild, Brynlee McClendon and one great grandson on the way.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Meadoway Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
