He was born June 15, 1921, to the late Herman Sr and Annie Mae (Martin) Snellings.

He joined the First Baptist Church and was employed by West Point Pepperell for 37 years until retirement.

Survivors include his children, Ida Philpots of Fairburn, Georgia; Dorothy Gray of Newnan, Georgia; Christine Hill of Chicago, Illinois; Herman Snellings, III (Edna) of Jonesboro, Georgia; Kenneth Snellings of LaGrange, Georgia; David Snellings (Channie) of Ellenwood, Georgia; Johnny Gray (Michelle) of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren; sister-in-law, Goldie Mae Snellings of LaGrange, Georgia; Minnie Lee Newton of Valley, Alabama and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 1  p.m. at Warren Temple UM Church.

The excellent care of Mr. Snellings is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
