Mrs. Annie Ellington

Mrs. Annie Margaret Turner Ellington, 88, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Ellington was born May 21, 1929, in LaGrange, Georgia, daughter of the late Thurman Fant and Annie Lee Phillips Turner.  She was a very faithful and active member of Callaway Baptist Church.  Mrs. Ellington was employed with Diverse Power before retiring.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Turner; her first husband, Richard R. Turner, Jr.; and husband, Harold Roger Ellington.

Survivors include her children, Shirley (Herman) Dunn, Sandra (Joel) Gosdin, Mike (Phyllis) Turner, Sharon Cadwell, Sonja (Richard) Bryant, Mike (Kelly) Ellington and Beverly (John) Gilbert; brother, Richard Turner; and grandchildren, Richard Dunn, Tammy Chaney, Dusty Dunn, Brad Gosdin, Brian Gosdin, Michelle Gilbert, Brandon Turner, Justin Turner, Danielle Slate, Valerie McDaniel, Audra Dean, John Cadwell, Lesley Cofield, Lindsey Williams, Trae Bryant and Maggie Bryant.

Celebration of life services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Brad Thompson and the Rev. Richard Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Sharon Cadwell, 145 Knott Road, LaGrange, Georgia, 30241.
