Jean e. Adcock

Jean E. Adcock, age 79, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born to John W. Westhead and Eileen E. Edwards on Dec. 11, 1938, in Felixstowe, England. She will be remembered by many as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and as an active member of many clubs.

Jean was a talented artist; working in oil/acrylic paintings on canvas, etching designs on glass, and perhaps her favorite was that of making masks with feathers and sequins for show costumes and Mardi Gras parades. Jean was a member of many clubs to include; Krewe of Columbus, Corvette Club, Mardi Gras Club, with many other activities and business endeavors.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leonard “Murphy” Adcock; her cousins, raised together as siblings, Rita Jones and Colin Jones, her two sons, Chuck Adcock of Gainesville, Georgia, and Larry Adcock (Elin) of Navarre, Florida; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brother-in- law, Millard Adcock (Myrtice) of LaGrange, Georgia; along with numerous other family.

A funeral service will be held on March 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaGrange, Georgia on March 28, 2018, at 11 a.m.
