Two suspects were arrested by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged home invasion that took place on Frost School Road Wednesday. A man, 19, told officers he was asleep when Jalen Smith, 24, and Keashone Rogers, 19, forced entry into his home.

After attacking him, the two allegedly stole a cell phone, a pair of shoes, a PlayStation game system and illegal narcotics from the residence.

According to the TCSO press release, the victim was found with a lump under his eye, a laceration on his lip and blood on his face, hands and shirt. He was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for his injuries. Officers found the suspects at a home in Meriwether County, and they were taken into custody, according to the press release.

Rogers, of Pine Mountain, and Smith, of Hamilton, were charged with burglary forced entry, aggravated assault, gun, possession of firearm or knife during certain felonies, aggravated battery-hand fist feet and robbery-residence-gun, according to the Troup County Jail arrest/release reports.

Armed robbery on Rome Avenue

An armed robbery occurred at the 100 block of Rome Avenue Sunday around 3:49 p.m. The victim was approached by two unknown men when walking to a store and was robbed of his wallet, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

Phone and belts stolen from juvenile

An iPhone 6S plus and two designer belts were snatched from a juvenile at the 100 block of Woodridge Circle Monday. The robbery occurred at 10:45 p.m. According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, a juvenile was selling the items on Snapchat for an undisclosed value. An unknown person reached out to the victim to purchase the items.

According to the press release, two suspects arrived and grabbed the items without paying the juvenile.

Window broken

A window pane in a front door was broken on Forrest Avenue Tuesday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:12 p.m. The homeowner told police no items were taken or disturbed from her residence.

The homeowner valued the pane at $50.
