They’re rolling.

The LaGrange Academy Warriors began the season with four consecutive losses against a strong slate of opponents.

LaGrange Academy hasn’t lost since, and it extended its winning streak to four with a 13-2 victory over The Cottage School on Thursday.

“We’ve won four straight, and things are starting to gel for us,” LaGrange Academy coach Brandon Lybrand said. “We played a tough schedule at the beginning. We wanted to do that, because some of these teams are equivalent to what we’ll possibly see deep into the playoffs.”

LaGrange Academy didn’t have any trouble with visiting Cottage School.

The Warriors led 13-0 after four innings, and the game ended after five innings because of the run rule.

The Warriors had 12 hits, and nearly everyone in the lineup contributed.

Luke Swann led the way for the Warriors with three hits, including two doubles, and he drove in three runs.

Swann also walked and scored three runs.

Brent Kardoes had two hits, including a double, and he drove in three runs.

Daniel Swann also had two hits and three RBIs, and Riley Hess had two hits.

Braden Haynes had a hit and two RBIs, and Andrew Knight had a base hit with an RBI.

Mason Brown had a hit and a walk while scoring four runs, and Joseph Calhoun scored three runs.

Daniel Swann started for the Warriors, and he was dominant, throwing three hitless innings while striking out four.

Kardoes and Hess each threw a scoreless inning to finish it.

“I needed to get Brent in, because I never know when I’m going to need these guys to come in and pitch and inning,” Lybrand said.

“So it was good to get them some work on the mound, and get some of the younger kids in.”

LaGrange Academy is off until April 12 when it hosts Monsignor Donovan.
