Barbara Jean Newson Boyd passed away Tuesday.

She was born March 4, 1954, to the late, Mr. Rase L. Newson and Mrs. Linda Newson.

Barbara joined Jesus Christ House of Prayer and was a graduate of Ethel Kight School, class of 1972.

Survivors include her sons, Anthony (Taghaza) Newson, Demetrius (Regina) Newson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cora (Eddie) Williams and Margaret Newson; two brothers, Bishop James (Betty) Newson and Willam Newson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church.

The family will be at their home at 205 Nashua Drive.

The excellent care of Mrs. Boyd is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
