Lafayette Christian tops Flint River

WOODBURY – The Lafayette Christian School Cougars rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to beat Flint River 11-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars tied it with two runs in the third inning, and they took the lead with a run in the fourth before pulling away.

Jacob Karvelas had three hits and three RBIs for the Cougars, and Caleb Deavers had three hits and one RBI.

Zach Thompson had two hits and an RBI, Nathan Karvelas had a hit and two RBIs, Justin Moore had a hit and an RBI, Tanner Jackson had two hits, and Adam Barnett and Cameron Elliott each had a hit.

Adam Barnett started and pitched two innings, and Nathan Karvlelas threw the final five innings and struck out nine.

Lafayette Christian visits Arlington Christian on Friday.
