Team members at Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. recently donated $35,000 to the American Cancer Society through its team member donation program. KMMG matched a portion of the team member donations.

KMMG’s “Matching Gift Program” allows team members to donate to five charities, and the American Cancer Society normally receives more than half of the donations.

“We were honored to present the check to the American Cancer Society recently at the Relay For Life event in LaGrange,” said Stuart C. Countess, chief administrative officer. “We also appreciate the generosity of our team members who participate in our Matching Gift Program.”

More than 120 KMMG team members donated to the American Cancer Society. Last year, KMMG and team members donated $31,000.

Representatives from the American Cancer Society and the Relay For Life said the $35,000 will go a long way.

“We thank your team members for donating each year to Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society,” said Lynn Howard, chair of the Relay.

“The money donated will help so many people.”
