Mr. Lawrence C. Edmondson, 70, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

Mr. Edmondson was born Feb. 20, 1948, in LaGrange, Georgia, to Mary E. Noles Edmondson and the late Grover C. Edmondson. He owned and operated Edmondson Trucking for many years and retired from Kleen-Tex. Mr. Edmondson proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Tucker Edmondson; and son, Bryan Edmondson.

Survivors in addition to his mother, Mary E. Edmondson, include his loving companion, Betty Fowler; sons, Lawrence C. “Sonny” Edmondson, Clinton (Stephanie) Edmondson and Joshua (Jennifer) Edmondson; grandchildren, Dalton, Juston, Maria, Blake, and Morgan; brothers, Harold (Sue) Edmondson and Daniel (Elizabeth) Edmondson; also Betty’s children, Emory “Allen” (Lori) Smith III and Kimberly Camp; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Kyle Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
