Roger’s to reopen in Hogansville

There was some good news out of Hogansville Wednesday, when Roger’s Pit Cooked Bar-B-Que announced it was going to remodel its building on East Main Street.
The restaurant was damaged by a fire in March and just over a month later the rebuild is underway.
Owner Randy Striblin said the restaurant considered possible temporary locations and even looked at permanently moving somewhere else in Hogansville.
However, the Striblins decided to stay at their normal spot, one that has been good for business since the restaurant opened in 1999.
There were a lot of unknowns when the fire first occurred.
Striblin always wanted to reopen in Hogansville, but you never know how things will work out after an incident like that. Luckily, no one was injured and Roger’s is going to be back serving customers in Hogansville in the next few months.
That’s a good thing for the city. A lot of people in Hogansville stay in town to eat Roger’s, rather than getting on the interstate and heading to Newnan or LaGrange for a dinner out of the house.
We look forward to the business reopening its doors, but for now Roger’s is still catering events.
Striblin said he’s been told many times how much locals missed the business. Hopefully the wait won’t be much longer.
