Mrs. Myrna Prather Welborn, 83, of LaGrange, Georgia, peacefully departed this earthly realm for her heavenly home on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Mrs. Welborn was born February 12, 1935, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Bennie Lee Prather and Alva Mae Mathis Prather. She retired from Milliken Hillside Plant after 40 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Welborn was a faithful member of Baptist Tabernacle for 49 years, where she was active with the Lighthouse Keepers until her declining health. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Welborn; son, Ronnie C. Welborn; and numerous siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Dale Sprayberry, Justine (Greg) Brooks and Theresa Cole; son, Ronnie (Missy) Welborn; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Buchino and Brenda Ward; other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Bobby Bozeman officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Baptist Tabernacle in memory of Myrna P. Welborn.
