Mr. Thomas E. Pike

Mr. Thomas E. Pike, 87, of Hogansville, passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Born Dec. 2, 1930, in LaGrange, Mr. Pike was the son of the late George and Connie Daniel Pike. He was a lifelong resident of Hogansville and attended Antioch Baptist Church since the day he was born. Mr. Pike was a homebuilder and developer who was instrumental with growth in Troup County. Always giving of himself, Mr. Pike had served on the Troup County Board of Health, was a two term county commissioner, and a four term Hogansville city councilman. In 2017, he was named a Red Cross Hometown Hero for his life of giving and helping others. Mr. Pike will be remembered for his love of the people of Hogansville, his church, and most of all his family.

 Survivors include his daughters and sons in-law, Donna and Steve Daniel of LaGrange and Carol and Jim Pierce of Edgefield, SC; three grandchildren, Brannon Dollar of Woodstock, Jamie Pierce of Evans and Stephanie Kerr of Edgefield, South Carolina; four great-grandchildren; and Dawn Stapler, whom he raised as a daughter, of LaGrange. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Walls Pike.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Wesley Boatman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday night.
