This weekend will be filled with family events on Saturday.

The Family and Children’s Educational Services will hold its second annual Troup County Community Fest Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will have food, games, face painting and live music.  The event will also feature a Troup County Field Day with sack races and a 50-yard and 100-yard dash.

The festival will be held at the Troup County Soccer Complex at 299 Fort Drive.

LaGrange College’s commencement will be held at 8:30 a.m. In case of weather, commencement will be held at Callaway Auditorium.  If you’d rather get homemade treats this weekend, a carwash and back sale to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held at Vernon Woods Retirement Community from 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
