Mr. Justice Ranyha Rashad “Smoove” Jackson, 23, of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Justice was born on Nov. 7, 1994 in Lanett, Alabama.

Justice was a 2013 graduate of Lanett High School. He played basketball, wore #11, and was a key player on the team. During the 2011-12 school year, Lanett High School Panthers won the area championship, and Justice was named Lanett High School offensive player of the year.

After graduation, he went to Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama and later decided to pursue his passion of being a photographer.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: mother, Faturah Jackson (LaGrange, Georgia); father, Frankie Ross, Jr., ( Ellenwood, Georgia); six sisters, Burgundy Jackson (Stone Mountain, Georgia), Jaila Ross (Atlanta, Georgia), Jatiya Ross (Atlanta, Georgia), Destiny Crawl-Alston (Ellenwood, Georgia), Victoria McCalep (Ellenwood, Georgia), Alessandra McCalep (Ellenwood, Georgia); six brothers, Markio Jackson (LaGrange, Georgia), London Gates (LaGrange, Georgia), Cornelius Jefferson (Ellenwood, Georgia), Bryan Cook (Ellenwood, Georgia), Luke McCalep (Ellenwood, Georgia) and Mack McCalep; three aunts, Renata Jackson (LaGrange, Georgia), Cynthia Dunn (Lanett, Alabama) and Martondell Ross; six uncles, Ikel Jackson (Lanett, Alabama), Sebastian Jackson (Montgomery, Alabama) , Jaworski Jackson (LaGrange, GA), Rodney Ross (Lanett, Alabama), Joshua Hall (Lanett, Alabama) and Chris Hall (Auburn, Alabama); grandparents, Dr. Flora Jackson (LaGrange, Georgia), Margaret (Alan) Ishler (Lanett, Alabama) and Frankie (Sarah) Ross, Sr. (LaFayette, Alabama).

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2018, at 1 p.m. ET at Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point, Georgia, with Bishop Donald Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lanett, Alabama.  The remains will lie in state at the church on Friday, May 25, 2018, from noon until the funeral hour.
