Gary Ruthe Nidiffer, age 77, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Gary was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Elizabethton, Tennessee, to Earl and Leida Nidiffer. Gary worked in banking most of his life, more than 35 years at SunTrust Bank in auditing, accounting and credit card. He was an integral part of both of his sons’ sports aspirations and also an avid outdoorsman, including fishing, hunting and boating.

Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia “Pat” Nidiffer; son, Gregory (Julie) Nidiffer; brothers, Jerry Nidiffer and Roger Nidiffer; father-in-law, James Zehe; brothers-in-law, Jim Zehe and Bob Zehe; sisters-in-law, Nikki Zehe, Linda Zehe and Laura Zehe; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces; a special little girl, Caroline, who was a granddaughter to him; and the light of his life, his granddaughter, Emily Nidiffer.

Gary was preceded in death by son, James “Jimmy” Nidiffer; mother, Leida Nidiffer; father, Earl Nidiffer; mother-in-law, Charlotte Zehe; sisters-in-law, Virginia Nidiffer and Jackie Zehe; nephew, David Nidiffer.
